Features: Originally built in 1914, this Neo-Gothic architecture church in the heart of Bloor-West Village is officially designated under the Ontario Heritage Act. The challenge: restore the 100 year-old structure without using a crane. The solution: "like building a ship in a bottle". Greyfield completely gutted the interior by hand and then systematically began building the structure floor by floor. Greyfield also self-performed all of the poured integrated reinforced concrete beams, shear walls and ComSlab® floors. Without the use of any hoisting equipment, all materials were brought in and placed by hand, while preserving the historic charm of this unique church.
